147 athletes from all over the world had confirmed their participation in the UCI Master Worlds, that will take part between 7th and 12th of September in Balneário Camboriú, located on Santa Catarina's shore.

Details inside,

Despite this is an international event, the majority of the racers belong to South American countries. Among the registered, Brazil with 79 racers, Argentina with 23 and Chile with 16, show themselves on the top of the list of subscribed riders. Even though, there are riders from Europe, North America and Oceania that are going to battle for the 8 World's titles that will be on the table this week.

The stars of the show
In this race, the categories that normally hold the fastest (and most famous) riders are the closest to the 30/35 one. They usually has ex-icons from the Pros events of DHI that decided to have a very active "retirement". Here are some highlights :

Martin “Cepi” Raffo and Gonzalo Rodriguez
Argentinian riders that raced some European and American seasons. Camboriú isn't new to them, as they were in the start list of 2005 and 2006's World Cups that the city held. Nowadays they maintain a MTB School called GRAVITY, and together they hold the title of the Open Shimano, one of the most remarkable series of South America.

Felipe and Sebastian Vasquez
Brothers born in Chile that made their own fame in South America. Sebastian is a veteran in Brazilian races, and already participated on the Urban DH in Santos on this year's February. He also holds 5 PanAmerican titles.

Jayime Mart
British Elite Downhill Mountain Bike racer Jaymie has competed internationally for 7 years, achieving consistent top 25 placings in the UCI World Cup. Regionally, she has recently sealed her 6th Scottish Championship title and has won 2 British University Championships titles.

Luciano “Kdra” Lancelotti and Caio Salerno
Two Brazilians whom stories mix with Brazilian gravity MTB's one. Caio had done from BMX to Dirt Bike trials in his career and now works in his own bike brand : Soul Cycles.
“Kdra”, nickname given on the childhood of ESPN's Mundo2Rodas show Director, it's another chameleon of the sport, He was one of the predecessors of Freeride in Brazil.

Patricia Loureiro
Brazilian rider that won everything that could be conquered in Brazil's Women DH scene. She retired from the Pro category couple years ago, but never really left the sport. We already spotted her training around and she will show herself as one of the favourites for the 30/35 title.
