Since 2007,
DHBrasil.com.br - a DH/FR specialist website in Brazil - organizes a trip to the Crankworx. The trip was lovingly named Xupetaworx in that same year, and it is getting bigger each year since then. In 2009, between the middle of July and the end of the Crankworx in August, DHBrasil took 30 Brazilians to ride in Whistler.
This is a short story that summarizes our 18-day experience through Canadian lands.
A day from our destiny-
Xupetaworx's crew was formed by riders from all over Brazil, so this journey begins in different locations for each one of them. The gathering occurs in São Paulo, the biggest city in the country and where
Air Canada's AC0090 departs from.

From São Paulo we need to fly 10,5 hours up to Toronto, where we immigrate. From Toronto we usually get a connection to Vancouver in less than 2 hours, but in 2009 a delay left us in Toronto for almost 5 hours. After the waiting, we headed to Vancouver on a 5 hour flight. From Vancouver to Whistler the path is worldwide famous : the Sea-to-sky highway. As we travel with almost 2 tons of luggage, we need to travel up to Whistler with a 58-passenger bus and a small truck, so that the bikes are all well taken care of during the trip. After 24 hours, the Garbanzo is the limit. Let's unpack and hit it!
